I’ve been a keen creator of lab notebooks. It helps you record your thoughts as you try different things. I keep lab notebooks for my customer work so I can look at what I was thinking.
For a while now, I’ve been thinking of keeping a website of my learnings and different thoughts, but I don’t have enough time to proper polish it. Or maybe not enough attention. I’ve wanted to create ‘rough content’ but never thought anyone would care or read.
Than I ran into this quote from Maggie Appleton:
”[…] if you ever needed another reason to learn in public by digital gardening or podcasting or streaming or whathaveyou, add on that people will assume you’re more competent than you are. This will get you invites to very cool exclusive events filled with high-achieving, interesting people, even though you have no right to be there. A+ side benefit.”
Digital garden. What a simple and beautiful idea. I love simple.
What to expect
Short posts. Reading notes. Mostly my own words (with some AI help for communicating ideas and fixing spelling mistakes). The occasional longer piece when something crystallises. Expect rough edges.
